The 1st mural for the 2022 Carlsbad Art Wall is a beauty. This is the 8th year for the Carlsbad Art Wall!
The latest mural was painted on January 10th and 11th by @HannasMurals. Why not check out Hanna’s website, too, to see more of her beautiful art?
The Carlsbad Art Wall is a big part of our public art scene, with several new murals per year.
Bryan Snyder founded the Carlsbad Art Wall (CAW) in 2015, in cooperation with the owner of Senor Grubby’s Mexican Restaurant in Carlsbad Village. Bryan is a well-known Carlsbad artist with plenty of public art work around town.
This visible venue gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy temporary public art by local, regional and, occasionally, international artists.
Even if you don’t know the #CarlsbadArtWall name, you’ve probably seen the changing murals on the restaurant’s east-facing wall. The Carlsbad Art Wall is west of the train tracks (opposite the Village Faire) as you head toward the beach. Hence, you can’t miss it!
Carlsbad enjoys a growing reputation as an arts community with abundant public art (links to an interactive map). In addition you’ll find art galleries, live performance theater, art fairs, and live music offerings during the year.
With all this, there’s no doubt the Carlsbad Art Wall is a special part of our vibrant arts community!
