A very special Carlsbad Art Wall mural premiered on Saturday June 26th in the Village – a beautiful tribute to 16-year-old Jack Munday, a Carlsbad resident killed in a car accident in Carlsbad 1 year ago, June 27, 2020.
Bryan Snyder, the founder of the #CarlsbadArtWall in 2015 on the east wall of Senor Grubby’s Mexican Restaurant, designed the mural, after speaking at length with the Munday family, seeing Jack’s art work, and learning about his passions – surfing, his family, skateboarding and baseball.
The community responded beautifully, with around 100 residents who showed up to help paint (coordinated by Bryan, and all paint and supplies were provided).
The mural is a wonderful tribute and well worth taking a trip into town to see it if you don’t get there regularly.
