Carlsbad Art Wall October 2021

Art in Carlsbad

San Diego muralist Nicholas Danger was the guest artist for the Carlsbad Art Wall October 2021, just painted last weekend. You have to admire this funny feline mural that makes you smile!

This is the 30th Carlsbad Art Wall mural.

The #CarlsbadArtWall is a special addition to the Carlsbad public art scene, with new murals several times per year. Carlsbad’s reputation as an arts community continues to grow with abundant public art (link to an interactive map). There is a wide range of artistic media such as performance theater and various music offerings (e.g., the Carlsbad Music Festival) during the year.

Bryan Snyder is a Carlsbad artist who founded the Carlsbad Art Wall in 2015, in cooperation with the owner of Senor Grubby’s Mexican Restaurant. The Carlsbad Art Wall gives everyone the added pleasure of enjoying temporary public art by local, regional, and international artists.

Even if you aren’t aware of the #CarlsbadArtWall name, you’ve likely noticed murals on the east-facing wall of Senor Grubby’s. You can’t miss the Wall. It’s west of the train tracks as you drive or walk to the beaches on Carlsbad Village Drive.
