WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE MAKERS MARKET
The Makers Market Crafter’s Showcase offers terrific shopping, with self-designed and handcrafted items from regional and local artisans. In addition, with Father’s Day coming June 19th, birthdays, wedding, and more, there are plenty of gift opportunities.
You may see some of the same participants from previous Makers Markets in addition to some new ones. You’ll find high quality, creativity, and one-of-a-kind creations because all vendors are jury-selected,
And Makers Market crafts are artisan-designed and crafted, not factory-made.
Furthermore, you can expect a broad range of art in different media. Examples include leatherwork, natural jewelry, 3D functional art, re-purposed materials, fabric and glass creations, candles, and graphic design apparel.
Artisanal sweets will include jam, cookies and caramels.
Part of the fun will be talking with the creators, asking questions, and learning about their inspiration!
The Makers Market is sponsored by Beach Vibe Rentals, a local golf-cart rental company. In addition, there will be live music from 4 local musicians.
There are plenty of local dining opportunities close by, too, in case all that shopping makes you hungry.
And if you don’t find the right gift at the Makers Market there are numerous retailers nearby! Plus the beach is just a couple of blocks away to enjoy a stroll before or after shopping.
