Halloween is a distant memory, and Thanksgiving is just 1 week away. The holiday shopping season seems to arrive earlier every year, doesn’t it?
The first Saturday after Thanksgiving is the traditional day to support small businesses throughout the US. And there are plenty of opportunities at our Carlsbad Village retailers to #shopsmall on November 25.
Plenty of residents, and visitors, already support small businesses in Carlsbad. But this is special opportunity! And with the holiday shopping season already here, that’s good news.
The Carlsbad Village Association website notes that approximately 67 cents of every dollar spent at a small business remains in the community. That’s impressive, and that’s significant revenue for our Carlsbad economy.
So mark your calendar to #ShopSmall in Carlsbad Village on Saturday November 25th. You may be surprised at the variety our Carlsbad Village businesses have to offer, particularly if you haven’t spent much time there shopping.
The Carlsbad Village Association is sponsoring a Small Business Saturday Celebration from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. Check in at the Carlsbad Village Association booth at the corner of Grand Avenue and State Street. You could receive a reusable tote bag and swag giveaways while supplies last.
Grab a free raffle ticket to participate in the drawings, too. There will be more than $1500 in restaurant gift cards, retail gift cards and price packages from retailers.
In addition to stores, there are multiple service providers – restaurants, art galleries, day spas, wine stores, and more. You can enjoy live holiday music between 12:00 and 3:00 pm, too.
Small Business Saturday 2023 is a wonderful chance to enjoy the Village while holiday shopping. And you also support the small business movement in Carlsbad. I would expect that nearly all the local merchants will take part, perhaps with discounts and specials as well!
