The holidays in Carlsbad are filled with fun events starting in late November.
November 30th is Small Business Saturday where you can #ShopSmall and have a big impact in Carlsbad Village, supporting our local merchants from 10 am until 7 pm and get a jump on your holiday shopping.
But you can also enjoy the Musical Kickoff to the Holidays, from 4 to 7 pm in the Village with a concert at Choice Juicery, and more live music and festivities in the Village.
Next on the holiday event list…Pets on Parade is always a fun annual event, and this year it’s on Saturday December 7th at the Carlsbad Village Faire at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, the site of many holiday events including the annual tree lighting. More on that later.
Proceeds from Pets on Parade will benefit a local Carlsbad charity, Wagging Dog Rescue. Pet owners can make an appointment (highly recommended) to have their pet’s photo taken with Santa by a professional photographer. Walk-ins accepted if appointments are not filled – call (760) 644-2121 or email Chris AT Carlsbad-Village.com.
Photos are $30 each, with appointments between 9 am and 12, then from 1 until 2:30. You will be able to download pics from an online site after the event.
There will be a group photo with Santa at 12:30 by the holiday tree (front entrance to the Village Faire) followed by a pet parade let by Santa at 12:45.
Attendance is free and there will be plenty of vendors offering pet and non-pet products, plus a charity raffle.
So get ready with your best holiday outfit, and one for your pet, and plan on a fun day at Pets on Parade in Carlsbad Village on Saturday December 7th.
