The annual Holiday Tree Lighting takes place on Sunday, December 8th in Carlsbad Village. A tradition for 39 years, the Holiday Tree Lighting is held at the front entrance to the Carlsbad Village Faire Shopping Center. The Village Faire is located at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, just west of the railroad tracks. The lead photo of the holiday tree is from 2023.
The Holiday Tree Lighting celebration runs from 2:00 – 4:30 pm. Furthermore, you won’t want to miss the festive music program with Adrienne Nims in the Courtyard from 12:00 until 2:00 pm.
As a result, if you aren’t already in the mood, the Tree Lighting festivities will certainly put you in the holiday spirit! Come join this popular celebration, along with plenty of Carlsbad residents, in the heart of the Village. This photo was taken in 2018.
The Holiday Tree Lighting and festivities are sponsored by the Rotary Club of Carlsbad.
First of all, Santa arrives for photos around 2:15. Plus there will be plenty of fun with storytelling and holiday crafts from the Carlsbad Library Learning Center. Furthermore, you can enjoy a music and dance program with a carol sing-a-long. Additionally there will be free cider, coffee and cookies provided by the Carlsbad Rotary Club.
The main event will happen at the end of the celebration around 4:30. Mayor Keith Blackburn will do the honors and light the tree.
Overall, what a fun way to usher in the holidays in the Village at this popular event.
In addition, don’t miss the Holiday Makers Market in the Village on Saturday December 7th from 9:00 until 4:00!
