The 8th Annual Holiday Makers Market is Saturday December 7th from 9 am until 4 pm.
The Holiday Makers Market has been a popular event in Carlsbad Village for 7 years. The Makers Market has expanded because of its popularity, and includes multiple events during the year, including the special one for the holidays.
The Holiday Makers Market is free. Don’t forget to bring your credit cards or cash for holiday shopping.
The Holiday Makers Market takes place outdoors at St. Michael’s By-the-Sea Episcopal Church, located at 2775 Carlsbad Boulevard in the Village.
This is a terrific shopping opportunity with the approaching holidays. You can expect self-designed and handcrafted items from around 50 local and regional artisans. Vendors are jury-selected so you’ll find high quality products and plenty of creativity. Everything is artisan-designed and hand-made, not factory-produced, which means plenty of one-of-a-kind items.
As with other arts and crafts events in Carlsbad Village, you can expect art work in a variety of media – leatherwork, beading, natural jewelry, 3D functional art, re-purposed materials, fabric creations, glass, candles, graphic design apparel, and so much more.
You might also enjoy talking with the artisans in person and learning about what inspired their creations!
The Holiday Makers Market will also offer live music from the Carlsbad High School Holiday Jazz Band.
You may find food discounts at some of the local eateries who will be thrilled to see you.
And if by some chance you don’t find the right gifts at the Holiday Makers Market there are plenty of retailers nearby.
Why not enjoy some time in Carlsbad Village, and perhaps have a little beach-time, too. It’s just 2 blocks away.
And don’t forget to #ShopSmall at Small Business Saturday in the Village on November 30th of Thanksgiving weekend.
