The annual Holiday at the Rancho will take place at the Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park on December 7th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
Holiday at the Rancho in Carlsbad offers holiday festivities with a bit of western history. Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park is at 6200 Flying LC Lane off Melrose in the Rancho Carrillo area of Carlsbad. The park is about 1 mile south of Palomar Airport Road, a short distance past Poinsettia Avenue at the next light (west side of Melrose).
There will be holiday decorations and beautiful lights, of course. And this popular event offers lots of fun for all ages. There will be face painting, holiday cookie decorating, holiday-themed crafts, train rides, and musical entertainment. You can also take part in a “plush” snowball fight. The holiday tree lighting ceremony with Santa is on the sand by the pool at 6:00 pm.
Photo opportunities will follow and you can buy souvenir photos. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase.
The event concludes with an outdoor holiday movie on the big screen at 6:15 pm.
You can be sure the Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park will be festively decorated that will put you in the holiday spirit!
Tickets for Holiday at the Rancho are $10.00 per person. Children ages 3 and under are free but must be registered. You can purchase your tickets online until 5 pm on December 7th or at the event until sold out. Please call (442) 339-2519 with questions and for more information.
Parking is somewhat limited at The Leo Carrillo Historic Ranch Park, and this is a popular event, so plan accordingly. You can park on adjacent neighborhood streets by the entrance to the Park, or at Carrillo Elementary School, also adjacent to the Park at 2875 Poinsettia Lane.
