Hearts of Carlsbad Village Treasure Hunt

Things to Do in Carlsbad Village

The 3rd Annual Hearts of Carlsbad Village blown glass treasure hunt in Carlsbad Village is February 11th and 12th. Thus if you’re looking for something fun to do outdoors this may be perfect.

And what a great opportunity to spend time in Carlsbad Village!

The Carlsbad Village Association and Barrio Glassworks are sponsoring this fun event. The treasure hunt begins at 10 am on Saturday and ends at 4 pm on Sunday.

Blown Glass Heart from Barrio Glassworks

February is American Heart Month. In addition, Valentine’s Day is 2 days after the event. How appropriate to have a heart-themed treasure hunt.

Here’s how the treasure hunt works. 200 colorful hand-blown glass hearts, created at Barrio Glassworks, will be “hidden” in popular locations in the Village over the 2-day period. Each engraved glass heart is numbered and dated, and a collectible. Moreover, it’s finders keepers! However, only 1 heart per person, please.

WHERE ARE HEARTS HIDDEN?

Hearts will be visibly “hidden” in iconic historic places. Additionally, locations include near downtown murals, where you might sit and relax, and by local hotels. However, hearts will not be hidden on or near the railroad tracks or rail trails, or at Barrio Glassworks.

Lastly, enter the prize drawing by registering your heart on a special website hosted by CVA. Registration details will be on the label attached to each heart.

The prize drawing is a free glass blowing experience at Barrio Glassworks. What a neat idea and a fun prize, too!

Thanks to the Carlsbad Village Association and Barrio Glassworks for hosting this creative treasure hunt event in Carlsbad Village.

While you are out heart-hunting stop in at Barrio Glassworks, too. You can check out the glassblowing and their retail shop at 3060 Roosevelt Street.

HEART OF THE VILLAGE BLOOD DRIVE
