The 6th Annual Heart of the Village Blood Drive is Saturday, February 11th from 10 am until 3 pm.
Here’s another opportunity for Carlsbad residents to help our community, and the San Diego Blood Bank, with their need for blood donations.
The Blood Drive will be hosted at Barrio Glassworks at 3060 Roosevelt Street. Blood donations are taken at the San Diego Blood Bank Bloodmobile in the parking lot.
Over 238 pints have been donated through the previous Heart of the Village Blood Drive events! The Carlsbad Village Association is the sponsor once again.
All donations are by Appointment Only, preferably in advance. Last minute appointments might be available on donation day. You can reserve a donation appointment online at the San Diego Blood Bank website.
As of this writing there are over multiple appointments available. As they tend to fill up quickly, or at least have done so in the past, don’t delay if interested.

Since Valentine’s Day is 3 days later on the 14th this is your opportunity to grab a hand-crafted gift at Barrio Glassworks. Also, you’ll find plenty of retailers nearby.
The Village Faire Shopping Center with multiple shops is just a few blocks down the street at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive. You shouldn’t have a problem finding just the right gift, including sweets.
