Summer activities will be ramping up in Carlsbad, including outdoor movies and music concerts (e.g., TGIF Concerts in the Parks).
The Carlsbad Village Association has tallied the votes from Carlsbadians and recently announced the movie line-up for the 7th annual Carlsbad Village Flicks at the Fountain series, which begin Thursday July 11th. The Flicks at the Fountain run for 6 consecutive Thursdays through August 15th.

July 25 – RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET
August 1 – A DOG’S WAY HOME
August 8 – INCREDIBLES 2
August 15 – THE AVENGERS
The movies take place by the Carlsbad Village fountain at parking lot at the corner of State Street and Grand Avenue with seating staring at 6 pm and movies beginning around dusk (i.e., 8 pm or so). Evenings in the summer by the beach can get chilly, so bring your blankets along with your low-back chairs.
Don’t forget your food/snacks and drinks, too. Or make life easy and order take-out at one of the local eateries in the Village!
