2023 Carlsbad Village Flicks at the Fountain is coming soon!
Summer is just a few weeks away on June 21. Furthermore, that means a number of popular events in Carlsbad are around the corner.
One favorite is the annual Flicks at the Fountain movie series. This series is hosted by the Carlsbad Village Association.
The Flicks at the Fountain take place on 5 consecutive Thursday nights, beginning July 6th and ending August 3rd.
FLICKS AT THE FOUNTAIN SCHEDULE
Movies are rated G and PG and were decided by popular vote from residents. So here’s the schedule for 2023:
Moana – July 6
Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle – July 13
Mary Poppins (Classic) – July 20
Monsters Inc. – July 27
Top Gun: Maverick – August 3
Flicks at the Fountain are held on the big screen in the parking lot adjacent to the Fountain. Just in case you don’t know the area, the parking lot is at the corner of State Street and Grand Avenue.
Seating begins at 6 pm and movies start at dusk, around 8 pm or so. Plan to arrive early to get the best seats.
Evenings can be chilly by the beach so be sure to bring blankets, plus comfortable low-back chairs.
In addition, bring some food/snacks and drinks and dine al fresco while you wait for the movie to start. Or make life easier and purchase take-out food at one of the nearby restaurants in the Village. You could also have pizza delivered to the parking lot!
So put the 2023 Flicks at the Fountain series on your summer calendar. Attend 1, 2 or all 5!
