June 21 is Make Music Day

Museum of Making Music

Come celebrate Make Music Day on June 21 at the Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad. In addition, it’s the 1st day of summer! That’s something to celebrate, too!

Festivities at the Museum of Making Music (MOMM) on Make Music Day include special guests, a food truck, live performances, and hands-on music-making opportunities during the day.

If you have not visited the Museum of Making Music this is a great opportunity to do so for free! The Museum is a real treat to experience in person.

Here’s more information about the Make Music Day happenings at the Museum.

Attendance is FREE. However, you should RSVP online.

Take a quick tour of the Museum of Making Music in this video from a few years ago.

Fête de la Musique (“Festival of Music”) was founded in France in 1982 and came to the US (New York) 14 years ago. Furthermore, Make Music Day is now celebrated in more than 1000 cities in 120 countries on June 21.

Moreover, on June 21, 2022 there were over 3800 free concerts in 104 US cities alone.

And if you can’t attend Make Music Day at MOMM just make your OWN music. Or just find some music to listen to and celebrate the day!
