The 37th annual Carlsbad Holiday Tree Lighting is Sunday, December 4th in downtown Carlsbad Village.
As in the past, the tree lighting is at the front entrance to the Carlsbad Village Faire shopping center at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive. This festive annual event runs from 2:15 – 5:00 pm. (Photo is from 2021)
Are you ready to get into the holiday spirit? Come enjoy this annual celebration, with lots of Carlsbad residents, in the heart of Carlsbad Village. The tree lighting is sponsored by the Carlsbad Rotary Club.
There is a holiday music program from 12 noon until 2 pm in the Village Faire Courtyard with Adrienne Nims. What a wonderful way to start off the day’s holiday festivities!
The official Carlsbad Village Holiday Tree Lighting celebration begins at 2:15 with a variety of holiday activities lasting until 4:30 pm.
Santa is due to arrive at 2:15 in The Carlsbad antique fire truck, along with an elf and Mrs. Claus. There will be visits and free photos with Santa, and of course candy canes.
The holiday program begins after Santa’s arrival. There will be several live holiday performances before the tree lighting ceremony.

The annual tree lighting will be lit by Carlsbad Mayor Hall at 4:30 pm after the conclusion of the holiday program.
