The first Saturday after Thanksgiving is the traditional official day for supporting small businesses throughout the US.
That means the 13th annual Small Business Saturday in Carlsbad Village is just 5 weeks away, too. You’ll find abundant opportunities at our Carlsbad Village merchants to #shopsmall.
Many residents and visitors support small businesses in Carlsbad already but this is a great opportunity! And with the holiday shopping season upon is, it’s good news for shoppers.
According to the Carlsbad Village Association website approximately 67 cents of every dollar spent at a small business remains in the community. That’s impressive, and revenue that’s important for our local economy.
So mark your calendar to #ShopSmall in Carlsbad Village on Saturday November 26th. If you haven’t spent time shopping you might be surprised at the variety our Carlsbad Village businesses have to offer.
The first 75 people checking in at the Carlsbad Village Association tent (Grand and State) receive a reusable tote bag. Grab a free raffle ticket, too, for the $1000 drawing of restaurant gift cards. There will also be a Shopping Passport guide to the retailers offering special discounts and gifts.
In addition to retailers, there are plenty of services including day spas, restaurants, art galleries, wine stores, and more. Expect some live music entertainment around the downtown area.
