2022 Holiday Showcase Makers Market

Things to do in Carlsbad

The 2022 Holiday Showcase Makers Market will take place on Saturday December 3rd from 9 am until 4 pm. The Makers Market has been popular for 4 years now and has expanded due to that popularity. There are now multiple events during the year, including the special one at holiday time.

The Holiday Showcase Makers Market is FREE. Of course you’ll want to bring credit cards or cash for your holiday shopping.

Don’t forget about Small Business Saturday in the Village on November 26th right after Thanksgiving. That’s an excellent time to start your holiday shopping.

The Makers Market is outdoors at St. Michael’s By-the-Sea Episcopal Church, at 2775 Carlsbad Boulevard in the Village.

The Makers Market Showcase is a wonderful shopping opportunity, especially with the approaching holidays. Expect self-designed and handcrafted items from dozens of local and regional artisans. Vendors are jury-selected, which means high quality products and lots of creativity. Everything is self-designed and hand-made, not factory-produced, and that also means one-of-a-kind.

You’ll also find artisanal foods and sweets. How about some for yourself as well as for gifts?!

As with other arts and crafts events in Carlsbad Village, you’ll see creations in a variety of media. I’d expect leatherwork, beading, natural jewelry, re-purposed materials, fabric creations, glass creations, pottery, candles, graphic design apparel, and more. Art in the Village fair is June 26, 2022

It’s also an opportunity to talk with the artisans, ask questions, and learn about what inspired their creations!

The 2022 Holiday Makers Market will also feature Santa at the City of Carlsbad antique fire truck, a great photo op! There will also be a toy drive, so bring a new and unwrapped toy to share. Four different musicians will provide live music throughout the day.

Perhaps you’ll find food discounts at some of the nearby local eateries. There are plenty of great places to eat in our charming Village before or after you hit the Makers Market.

And if somehow you don’t find the right gifts at the Holiday Showcase Makers Market, or even if you do, there are abundant retailers nearby.

Why not also take some time to enjoy being in the Village. And perhaps have some beach-time, too, just 2 blocks away.
