As already mentioned a few weeks ago, the popular summer outdoor movie series, Flicks at the Fountain, returns to Carlsbad after last year’s cancellation. This popular summer event is hosted by the Carlsbad Village Association along with a number of other business sponsors in the Village.
What a fun FREE event for a summer evening in the Village.
The 4 movie titles have now been announced, and here’s the schedule:
July 22 – Toy Story
July 29 – Ghostbusters
August 5 – Frozen (with a costume contest)
August 12 – Star Wars: A New Hope
If you have attended before, you know that the Flicks at the Fountain are held on the big screen in the parking lot by the Fountain located at the corner of State Street and Grand Avenue. Seating begins at 6 pm and the movies start around 8 pm or so.
Remember you are near the beach, so even though it’s summertime be sure to bring blankets for those possible chilly evenings, along with your low-back chairs. You can choose to bring some food/snacks and drinks, have dinner in the Village, or buy take-out food at one of the many local restaurants. You can also order pizza (or something else?) to be delivered to the parking lot!
