The Carlsbad Village Faire Takes Place on May 1, 2016

Earth Day Makers Market 2023

The very popular Carlsbad Village Faire, the 43rd annual nd the country’s largest 1-day outdoor fair, will take place in downtown Carlsbad Village on Sunday May 1, barely 2 weeks away. I thought I’d give you “faire” warning so you can put it on your calendar.

If you have any interest at all in art and crafts, the Carlsbad Village Faire is an incredible opportunity to see a huge range of collectibles, paintings, items for the garden including plants, jewelry, sculpture and so much more. Imagine about 900 vendors from around the region gathered on the streets of the Village – a giant outdoor mall with something for everyone.

If you have never been it’s worth checking out, including all the food vendors – a pancake breakfast and a beer and wine garden (adults only) just for starters!

Be aware that a good part of the central downtown Carlsbad Village area will be blocked off, and with about 100,000 people typically attending, parking is a challenge so plan accordingly. There is shuttle service from the Poinsettia Coaster Station and the Shoppes at Carlsbad (formerly the Westfield Mall by the 78 and El Camino Real).
