The Carlsbad Pirate Plunge is March 23rd

The Aquatic Center at the popular Alga Norte Community Park in the La Costa area sponsors a number of fun events during the year.

The Annual Pirate Plunge will take place on Saturday March 23rd from 5 to 9 pm, with a host of pirate-themed activities for kids to enjoy.

The event is limited to 600 attendees so you would be wise to get registered early and pick up your wristbands, available now until the day of the event, so you don’t miss out. Tickets are $10 per person, with children age 3 or younger free. You can pick up wristbands at the Aquatic Center during normal business hours. You can buy Pirate Plunge wristbands online here.

So what can you expect?

Kids will get to enjoy a range of pool activities (e.g., Hook It, Cannon Ball Crush, Diving for Treasure), a few floating obstacles, Key logs (test of your balancing skills), a treasure hunt on land, a pirate ship slide, and a bounce house. Of course there will be ample photo opps.

And the younger children can also enjoy the Splash Pad.

The finale will be a popular outdoor movie on the big outdoor screen, “Peter Pan (1953),” starting at dusk.
