The Carlsbad Aloha Plunge is Back!

Summer Fun in Carlsbad CA

Do you want something fun to do outdoors this weekend?

Carlsbad will again celebrate summer with the popular Aloha Plunge this Saturday July 24th.

The Aloha Plunge was cancelled last summer and it’s great news that it’s back!

The Aloha Plunge takes place at the Alga Norte Community Park Aquatics Center in the La Costa area of South Carlsbad from 5 to 8 pm. The Park is located at 6565 Alicante Road at the corner of Poinsettia.

The Aloha Plunge is limited to 500 participants and you can expect registrations to go fast. The cost is $10 per person, with children age 3 and under FREE (but they should be identified when you check-out online). Don’t wait too long – register online by July 23rd. Wrist bands may be picked up in advance at the Aquatics Center during normal business hours so there’s no waiting in line at the event.

While they say tickets will be available at the event you don’t want to risk missing out in case they are all sold out by then!

So bring your swimming suit and enjoy all the luau-themed fun, on land and in the pool!  Challenge your talents in the pool with a series of water obstacles, or enjoy the Tropical Tic-Tac-Toe and Tiki Toss. On land kids can enjoy a tropical bounce house, and have photos taken. The Splash Pad will be open for younger children.

The evening concludes with a 45-minute Polynesian show where you can learn how to do the hula!

Food and beverages will be available for purchase during the event.

Alga Norte Community Park is one of Carlsbad’s favorite parks with a host of features, including a terrific dog park, now open for several years.
