The 8th concert in this popular FREE series, a staple in the Carlsbad summer lifestyle since 1986, is tonight from 6 to 8 pm at Alga Norte Community Park at 6565 Alicante Road in Carlsbad 92009. It’s hard to believe the series is coming to an end next Friday!
If you’ve been to one of these TGIF concerts you are already aware they get pretty crowded – perhaps around 4000 people. So if you want seats up front, and don’t want to walk TOO far, plan to get there early (seating will open at 4 PM). There are also shuttles available – look for the signs when you get to the venue so you know where to park.
Tonight features Gene Evaro Jr. (soul, folk, electronic & funk)
Be sure to bring your low-back chairs, blankets and dinner, plus money so you can purchase some raffle tickets – they always have great prizes to give out during intermission around 7 pm. And if you don’t win, keep your tickets for the final evening on August 16th.
The last concert next Friday is sure to be a hit, given it’s the final night but also due to the 2 groups being featured – 80’s All Starz and Cassie B’s 90s Remix
