Summer activities are coming soon in Carlsbad, and there is some more good news…the Flicks at the Fountain are returning to Carlsbad after last year’s cancellation due to the pandemic.
This summer there will be 4 movies on Thursdays in July and August – the start date is still to be determined – hosted by the Carlsbad Village Association (CVA). The movies have not yet been announced and you are welcome to email the CVA at event AT Carlsbad-Village DOT com with any movie suggestions (G and PG).
The movies are held on the big screen in the parking lot by the Fountain, at the corner of State Street and Grand Avenue, with seating beginning at 6 pm; movies start around dusk (i.e., 8 pm or so). Summer evenings by the beach can be chilly, so bring blankets along with your low-back chairs.
And why not enjoy some food/snacks and drinks, too. Or make your life easy and order take-out at one of the nearby eateries in the Village. You can also order pizza to be delivered to the parking lot!
