Come celebrate Small Business Saturday in Carlsbad Village on November 28, 2020.
It happens to us every year – we find it hard to believe the holiday shopping season is upon us, almost before we realize it! Black Friday is November 27, about 4 weeks from now, immediately followed by the 11th annual Small Business Saturday in Carlsbad Village, then Cyber Monday.
The first Saturday after Thanksgiving traditionally is the official day for supporting small businesses, and opportunities will be plentiful from our Carlsbad Village merchants. I suspect many residents and visitors support these small businesses already on a regular basis!
According to the Carlsbad Village Association website about 67 cents out of every dollar spent at a small business stays in the community. That’s pretty impressive, and important for our local economy.

In addition to supporting our many local merchants you get to enjoy plenty of personal touches and hospitality from our small businesses in Carlsbad Village, along with a variety of merchant specials and discounts. Who doesn’t enjoy those, especially at holiday time?!
Small Business Saturday is a wonderful opportunity to spent time in our Village by the Sea and get started on holiday shopping (other than what you buy on Black Friday), plus support the small business movement in our community. You can expect that most, if not all, our local merchants will be participating!
