I review housing market data from our MLS, and create market reports each month for 11 North San Diego County communities where I work with buyers and sellers. It’s essential for me to understand what’s happening in the local housing markets (and there have been many shifts in 2020 as a result of the pandemic), so I can be as helpful as possible to buyers and sellers. This knowledge will help them make informed buying and selling decisions based on the local market conditions.
Local market conditions can have a substantial impact on buying and selling due because of competition (due to supply and demand), time on the market, asking prices versus sales prices, and the likelihood of multiple offers. Market reports for our communities are terrific education for anyone thinking about buying a home now, or in the future, or for those who have a home they are considering selling so they can gain a feel for what’s happening in the housing market locally.
Have you ever wondered HOW the market is doing? A market report will give you some of that information. I can provide some additional insights on what the statistics can mean for your decision making, timing, etc. depending on what aspect of the housing market you are interested in – a specific zip code or neighborhood, a style of house, or a price point (say, below $1 million).
