Carlsbad food

Food lovers are no doubt thrilled San Diego Restaurant Week is starting this weekend, kicking off Sunday April 3rd and running through Sunday April 10th .

San Diegans can dine on a wide array of food offerings at great prices at more than dozens of restaurants! How can a dedicated food lover go wrong with so many options?! (Photo is not an actual San Diego Restaurant Week meal)

Food

San Diego Restaurant Week is about reduced prices on fixed price menus at lunch, brunch (if offered) and dinner. Participants cover a broad geographic area – downtown, inland/East County, and north in our coastal cities to Oceanside and Fallbrook.

There are 4 in my hometown of Carlsbad, including a fave, Panini Kabob Grill.

Prices vary for multiple courses, with dinner prices, as expected, higher than lunch. Fixed prices are $10 – $25 for lunch and $20 – $60 for dinner. Check the individual restaurant listings to see what they offer and pricing.

2022 San Diego Restaurant week is great way to check out higher-end eateries you might not ordinarily dine at. And why not visit restaurants you’ve heard about but haven’t yet tried.

Some restaurants offer outdoor dining, curbside pick-up/take-out, and even deliveries. You will want to check first depending on your preferences, for pricing and availability.

No doubt you will find plenty of dining options near your home. Or you could travel a bit further to explore new places. It’s a great time to be adventurous in your dining instead of the same old, same old!

Participation in Restaurant Week in San Diego is simple. No tickets or passes are needed. Just visit the restaurants that intrigue you and take advantage of fine dining and great prices.

While reservations are NOT necessary they always make sense, especially for dinner and on the weekends. Keep in mind this is a popular event. Better than having to wait in line or find out there is no room.

By the way you can also order from the regular restaurant menu if you prefer.

Some restaurants will offer Open Table reservations directly from the Restaurant Week website. You can also make reservations from their own business websites, or call directly.

So plan lunch or dinner out this coming San Diego Restaurant Week, or more than one. Just bring your wallet and a good appetite!
