February is San Diego Museum Month. And there are some terrific museum benefits for all to enjoy.
During San Diego Museum Month there are discounts at over 60 museums, historic sites, and venues throughout San Diego. It’s simple – just pick up your discount pass at one of the 75 San Diego Libraries (county, libraries, and community libraries). You will get 50% off the cost of regular admission for up to 4 people.
You may find some other special offers, too.
Be aware that some special programs and exhibits may have other admission fees. Furthermore, some exhibits might not qualify for a Museum Month discount. Don’t assume, but be sure to check with the venue first to see if there are limitations.
Do you live in Carlsbad? You can pick up your discount passes at one of the 3 City of Carlsbad library locations.
Dove Library (La Costa area) at 1775 Dove Lane off El Camino Real.
Library Learning Center at 3368 Eureka Place.
Georgina Cole Library near the Village at 1250 Carlsbad Village Drive.
You have until February 28 to use the passes. Discount passes may be used more than once. However, the number of visits to a particular museum may be restricted. There is no cost for the Museum Month discount passes and the rewards are significant!
Participating museums and historic sites are members of the San Diego Museum Council. What a terrific opportunity in this month to enjoy your favorite venues. In addition, you can explore museums you haven’t visited yet.
In Carlsbad enjoy the Museum of Making Music – this is definitely worth a visit in my opinion. Additionally, you can visit the Miniature Engineering Craftsmanship Museum.
Nearby visit the California Surf Museum and the Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside. Moreover the San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas is also participating. If you haven’t been, now may be the time!
