The San Diego County Fair in Del Mar opens June 8, 2022, only 3 weeks from this Wednesday.
The nation’s largest County Fair runs through July 4. The fair is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Fair hours are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays 11 am until 10 pm, and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 to 11.
However, the Fair will be open Monday July 4th, the final day, from 11 am until 10 pm.
The San Diego County Fair has an annual theme, and for 2022 it’s “Heroes Reunite!”
The Del Mar Fairgrounds are well known for a wide range of events each year, including trade expos and concerts. In addition to the San Diego County Fair, the fairgrounds may be best known for Thoroughbred Racing Season. Stay tuned for updates on the 2022 horse racing season.
So what can you expect at the San Diego County Fair this year? You’ll find food concessions, shopping, rides, games, competitive exhibits and so much more.
Furthermore, there’s a great line-up for the Toyota Summer Concert Series at the grandstand center stage.
ORDER TICKETS IN ADVANCE
You must order parking and admission tickets in advance online. In addition, keep in mind ticket sales will be limited each day and could sell out. Pick your day and preferred arrival time, but you can stay as long as you wish once you are inside.
PARKING
Parking at the fairgrounds is limited, and general parking is priced at $15. There is off-site parking with shuttles, too. As noted previously you must purchase your parking ticket in advance. No parking tickets will be sold at the event.
WHERE IS THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY FAIR?
You can expect heavier traffic around the fairgrounds. That includes nearby side roads, the Coast Road/Route 101, and the 5 freeway near the Via de la Valle exit. The Del Mar Fairgrounds are just off the 5 Freeway at 2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard, Del Mar. For more information call 858-755-1161.
