Garden of Lights 2017 at the San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas

If you enjoy looking at holiday lights, then a tour of the San Diego Botanic Garden of Lights should really put you in the holiday spirit this year.

The San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas near Encinitas Ranch is beautiful to visit at any time of the year, just to enjoy some of the most wonderful and extensive gardens in the area, and to also take in their art festival, chocolate festival, and other special events during the year.

The Garden of Lights features about 125,000 sparkling colored lights throughout the gardens, transforming it in to a magical holiday wonderland. The San Diego Botanic Garden of Lights runs from December 2nd through December 23rd, and from the 26th through the 30th, from 5 – 9 pm. Special features will include snow and horse-drawn buggy rides on certain nights, marshmallow roasting, visits with Santa (12/2 – 12/23), a Nutcracker display, holiday crafts, and more. And of course the Garden of Lights is the REAL treat this holiday season!

Admission for Sunday – Thursday: Members $10; Seniors, Active Military and Students $10; Non-Members $15 and children ages 3–12, $5 with some additional fees for certain activities.

Friday and Saturday (Premium pricing): Members, Seniors, Active Military and Students $10, Non-Members $20, and children ages 3–12 are $5.
