New Hours for State Street Farmers Market in Carlsbad

Fresh Produce at the State Street Farmers Market

The State Street Farmers Market in Carlsbad Village is a popular place to be every Wednesday, with over 60 vendors offering fresh produce (18 or so), all sorts of locally- prepared specialty foods (usually about 25 vendors), 6 prepared/cooked food booths (we often go to pick up dinner), 2 to 4 arts and crafts vendors, and entertainment. No doubt you have been right a few times, right?

The State Street Farmers Market started in 1994 with a focus on organic produce, and for a period of time there were 2 farmers market per week but this was changed to just 1, on State Street between Carlsbad Village Drive and Grand Avenue, a few years ago.

Spring/summer hours (roughly coinciding with Daylight Saving Time) are 3 to 7 pm. But be aware with the time change last weekend and with darker evenings, the NEW HOURS for the winter are 3 – 6 pm starting today…still plenty of time to do your weekly shopping. Winter hours run through March 4.

The State Street Farmers Market is pretty popular so you can expect parking (still FREE in Carlsbad Village) to be a bit more challenging, but there are a number of parking lots nearby and some on-street parking, too. Enjoy!
