Affordability of housing has changed in a positive direction for many, if not all California counties. Some still remained less affordable based on average income and median housing prices, but many counties have become much more affordable, relatively speaking.
Here is an infographic from the California Association of REALTORS (C.A.R.) that summarizes current affordability. Not surprisingly, San Diego is not on the list (but it’s better, at 42%) nor are Los Angeles (also 42%) or San Francisco (26%).
