Here are the May 2022 Market Reports for 11 North San Diego County communities. And here’s the market report for April in North County.

Our housing market in May 2022 saw some changes taking place. Inventory remains tight but shows improvement but not enough for the demand. Buyer demand is still strong.

The information in these market reports is derived from our MLS. Thus, while data are believed to be accurate when these reports were compiled, information is not guaranteed.

Market reports help me assist buyers and sellers make informed selling and buying decisions. Furthermore, understanding current housing market conditions will benefit you with purchase and sale decisions.

In general, local market conditions impact buying and selling because of supply and demand. As a result this affects time on the market, competition, and sales prices relative to list prices.

It’s well known that real estate truly IS local!! Thus, you cannot believe what you see in media headlines! Media reports are far too general, and often not consistent with current local conditions.

May was a fairly busy time for buyers, sellers, and agents, with shifts in average prices, inventory, and sales volume from April. However, while there were some general trends, each community is different.
