Every month I review the MLS and create a market report for the communities I serve in North San Diego County.
Knowing the local market conditions is essential since these impact prices, offers, competition and more. In order to advise my buyer and seller clients I need to know what’s going on in the local markets.
While in general we are in a sellers market (i.e., there is not enough housing inventory to meet the demand and so sellers have an advantage), this varies from community to community, and of course by price range and neighborhood, too. Inventory has been shifting, as has the number of sales, and we see changes in average sales prices from month to month, too.
I always post my monthly Carlsbad market report here because, well, this blog is in large part about Carlsbad. But no doubt there are readers (buyers and sellers) interested in what’s going on in other communities where they live, or where they may be interested in buying a home.
