Makers Market March 5 in Carlsbad Village

Things to Do in Carlsbad Village

The 1st Makers Market: A Crafter’s Showcase of 2022 is this Saturday, March 5th, hosted by the Carlsbad Village Association. The Carlsbad Makers Market has been a popular event in Carlsbad Village, now in its 6th year.

The Makers Market is open from 9 am until 4 pm. The Makers Market is free and offers creations from 50 artisans. Of course you’ll want to bring credit cards or plenty of cash for shopping!

The Makers Market takes place outdoors on the campus of St. Michael’s By-the-Sea Episcopal Church, located at 2775 Carlsbad Boulevard.

The Makers Market Crafter’s Showcase should be a terrific shopping opportunity, with self-designed and handcrafted items from local and regional artisans. With Mother’s and Father’s Days off in the future, birthdays, Easter and more, there are plenty of gift-buying opportunities.

You can expect some of the same participants from previous Makers Markets as well as new ones. Since all vendors are selected by a panel, you can expect great quality, creativity, and individuality.

Makers Market crafts are all artisan-designed and hand-made – not factory production – which means lots of one-of-a-kind items.

You can expect a broad range of art in many different media. You’re likely to find leatherwork, beading, natural jewelry, macrame, 3D functional art, re-purposed materials, fabric and glass creations, candles, and graphic design apparel. There will also be some artisan sweets!!

Part of the fun will be talking with the creators, asking questions, and finding out what inspired their creations!

The Makers Market is sponsored by Farm Fresh to You. There will be live music, and you’ll find plenty of local eateries close by if you need them. I bet you are already aware of great places to eat in our Village. If, by chance, you don’t find the right gifts at the Makers Market, or even if you do, don’t worry. There are plenty of retailers in Carlsbad Village just steps away to explore and find just the right gift!
