Our housing market has remained very competitive, with changes each month in these communities. In general, inventory rose some after the holidays but remains tight in most areas and demand continues to be strong.
The information in these market reports is taken from the MLS. While these date are believed to be accurate at the time these reports were compiled, it is not guaranteed.
Understanding the local market conditions means I can help buyers and sellers make informed buying and selling decisions.
But these reports are good education for you as well, whether you are planning to buy or to sell now or not. I also find many people are interested in what’s happening in the housing market even if they are not planning to buy or sell right now.
Furthermore, understanding housing market conditions for the areas that interest you will help your decision making when the time comes.
Simply put, local market conditions impact buying and selling because of supply and demand. This affects marketing time, sales prices versus list prices, and of course competition for the limited inventory. Over and over we see that real estate truly IS local!! And you can’t always believe what you see in the media!

January was a fairly busy time for buyers, sellers and their agents, with changes in average prices, inventory, and sales volume from December. However, while we saw some trends, each community is different!
