How to Support Your Carlsbad Village Restaurants

Carlsbad Restaurants

Since the onset of the pandemic, and the implementation of shelter-in-place orders in California and San Diego County (with multiple changes and restrictions since March), our local restaurants in Carlsbad Village and Carlsbad in general have suffered.

Early on take-out, curbside pick-up, and deliveries helped many to cope with the dramatic drop in business; places that had previously not offered deliveries or even take-out made adjustments as needed to survive.

Then indoor dining opened up, with restrictions, no doubt a huge plus for many eateries, but that changed again recently around the July 4th holiday weekend with new restrictions due to rising Covid cases in the County.

Currently indoor dining is not permitted, but those restaurants with outdoor seating are open for your business. We have also seen that a number of eateries that previously did not offer outdoor dining have added it with new patios so they could be open.

There are quite a number of dining establishments that now offer outdoor dining, curbside service, take-out and/or deliveries, or some combination of these.

Here is a current list from the Carlsbad Village Association of Carlsbad Village of 70+ businesses offering these services, with links to their websites and other contact information. It’s smart to check with these places to verify the services you are interested in and check on their menus and hours of operation.

NOTE: This list does not include the many other restaurants located elsewhere in Carlsbad who may also be offering a range of dining options and take-out/delivery services.

Of course not everyone is ready to dine outside at restaurants, even when following safety precautions, but there are still ways to enjoy Carlsbad Village dining, and help support these businesses.
