Home Seller Resources for 2021

Seller Tips and Advice

If you are considering selling your Carlsbad home in 2021, or perhaps have a home in a nearby community to sell, you’ll find these resources helpful as you start planning your sale.

HOME SELLER GUIDE

My 2021 Winter Home Selling Guide can be downloaded for free. Simply click on the link.

If you are planning to buy another home after you sell (or while selling) my 2021 Winter Home Buying Guide will be useful to you!

As a home seller it’s important to be as educated as possible about the sales process, and have a good understanding of the local market conditions that impact home sales. You may be surprised at how much there is to know, and you will have some very important decisions to make, especially when it comes time to consider offers.

The seller guide does not cover everything you ought to know, but you will learn about the following, and more:

1. Why Low Inventory is a Win for Sellers

2. Leveraging your Equity

3. Selling Your House with Today’s Technology

4. Why Pricing Your Home Right Matters

After you have had a chance to read through the Seller Guide, let’s talk about selling real estate at (760) 840-1360. I am happy to answer all of your questions about the market and selling your home, including some I suspect you aren’t even aware you have!

HOME SELLING VIDEOS

A video playlist on my YouTube Channel is available at HOME SELLING TIPS AND ADVICE. There are 21 short (1 – 2 1/2 minutes) videos on essential things you should know when selling a home. It’s not everything you need to know, but these videos will give you a better perspective on what to expect when selling, and answer some key questions you probably have, and perhaps raise some issues you haven’t even considered.

HOME SELLER QUESTIONNAIRE

I created a questionnaire to help sellers think through issues that are important when selecting the right listing agent to help you with selling your home. I’m happy to provide this to you with no obligation – just reach out to me by phone or text me at (760) 840-1360 and provide your email address; or email me at JeffDowlerSolutions@gmail.com. And of course I would love to have a conversation with you about your potential home sale.

SELLER HANDBOOK and CHECKLISTS

When we work together to sell your home, I’ll share my Seller’s Handbook with you when we get started. There is one for first time sellers and one for experienced home owners.

I have multiple checklists to share with you, at key points in your sales transaction, to help you stay on track and not forget something important.

  • The “Now That We’re Live” checklist will prepare you for going live on the MLS. It’s a big day and in our very competitive market you will likely see a lot of activity beginning right away, so preparation is key!
  • A checklist to help make sure you are ready for showings
  • A checklist of Covid-19 procedures to follow to keep everyone safe
  • Once you and a buyer have an accepted offer and open escrow, my “Opening Escrow Checklist,” will get you ready for everything that happens during escrow…it’s very busy time and there is a lot to do!

As your listing agent I will be there every step of the way to guide you through your sale, answer all questions, help find the best solutions to any problems that might arise (and there is always something), and negotiate the best price, terms and conditions on your behalf.

YOUR NEXT STEPS

Please reach out to me by calling or texting me at (760) 840-1360, or emailing me at JeffDowlerSolutions@gmail.com, so we can discuss any questions about the real estate market conditions in your local area, outline the home selling process, talk about preparing your home for sale, and review your home’s market and equity value. We will discuss your specific needs, and timing, and design a strategy to get your home sold quickly and for the best price in 2021!

If you are also planning to buy a new home, we will also discuss how to coordinate your sale and purchase. It can be a challenge in this competitive market if you must sell your current property before buying another home, depending on the circumstances.
