As you may know there was a fun contest recently in Carlsbad Village for businesses to decorate their windows for the holidays. Windows were decorated and ready to go right around Thanksgiving, and no doubt if you were in the Village for shopping, dining, and any of the holiday events recently you got to enjoy some of them.
The contest is over, the judging is complete, and the 3 winners were selected: People’s Choice by a vote from Carlsbadians (over 600 votes!); the Kid’s Favorite, selected by a small committee from the Carlsbad Boys and Girls Clubs led by the director Abby Snyder; and the Winter Spirit award selected by Sam Ross, Executive Director of Visit Carlsbad.
Advertising prizes were donated by the Coast News and the Carlsbad Magazine.

I haven’t had time yet to go take my own photos, so here is the collage of the winners from the Carlsbad Village Association website (this photo was shared with permission!). I did see all of these windows during a jaunt around town a couple weeks ago and they were pretty cool. I know I enjoyed seeing all the businesses who participated and brightened up our Village for the holiday season.
