If you’ve driven South on the Coast Road from Carlsbad south of the power plant and Terramar Beach you likely have seen 1 or more of the old (probably dead) trees on the west side of the road decorated for the holidays. I believe there are 3.
I check them out every year and it’s fun to see what people come up with for decorations.
Seeing these old, wizened trees overlooking the ocean, decorated with brightly colored ornaments and decorations is a real treat. And on a beautiful day like today with the blue ocean in the distance this tree was especially nice.
