The 7th Annual Heart of the Village Blood Drive is Saturday February 10th from 9 am until 2 pm in Carlsbad Village.
Here’s an opportunity for Carlsbad residents to help the San Diego Blood Bank with their need for blood donations.
A big thank you to Barrio Glassworks at 3060 Roosevelt Street for hosting the Heart of the Village Blood Drive. Blood donations will be taken at the San Diego Blood Bank Bloodmobile in the parking lot.
Over 200 pints have been donated through previous Heart of the Village Blood Drive events! The Carlsbad Village Association is the sponsor once again.
Donations are by Appointment Only, preferably in advance. However, last minute appointments may be available on donation day. You can reserve a donation appointment online at the San Diego Blood Bank website.
At the time this was written there were multiple appointments available. However, they tend to fill up quickly, and have done so in the past, so don’t wait if you want to participate.

Valentine’s Day is 4 days later on the 14th. Thus, this is an opportunity to grab a beautiful gift at Barrio Glassworks. There are plenty of retailers close by for more gift shopping, too. Furthermore, the Village Faire Shopping Center, with multiple shops, is several blocks away at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive.
