Give blood in Carlsbad Village at the 2022 Heart of the Village Blood Drive on February 12th.
Here’s another opportunity for Carlsbad residents to help our community, and specifically the San Diego Blood Bank, with their need for blood donations.
The 5th Annual Heart of Carlsbad Village Blood Drive will take place at the Barrio Glassworks at 3060 Roosevelt Street. This event is sponsored by the Carlsbad Village Association and runs from 10 am until 3 pm.
Blood donations will be taken at the San Diego Blood Bank Bloodmobile in the parking lot. Over 130 pints have been donated through previous Heart of the Village events!
All donations are Appointment Only, preferably in advance but perhaps sooner if the time is available. You can reserve a donation appointment online at the San Diego Blood Bank website.
As of this writing there are over 2 dozen appointments available but they are likely to fill up quickly.
Appropriate sanitizing and social distancing procedures will be followed at all times. You can read more about the event here.
New this year is the Valentine’s Pop-up Event sponsored by the Carlsbad Village Association. There will be a number of artisan pop-ups available. You can expect chocolate gift boxes, handmade cards, gifts from Barrio Glassworks, and more.
Don’t forget Valentine’s Day is just 2 days later on the 14th.
There are also plenty of retailers nearby if you still need to find the right gift for someone special. Check out the Village Faire Shopping Center just down the street at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive.
