In case you are not aware and still have a real Christmas tree to get rid of, Carlsbad is once again offering their FREE Christmas Tree recycling services until January 13th. Trees will be converted into mulch that will be available for use throughout San Diego County.
You can take advantage of curb-side pickup with your normal trash collection service until January 12th. Trees should be placed in the green recycle bin if possible. Trees over 6 ft. tall must be cut in half, and be sure to remove all decorations and tinsel.
Flocked trees cannot be recycled and must be deposited in the trash barrel.
There are also 4 drop off locations throughout Carlsbad with bins that are available until January 13th:
