This is just a friendly reminder that the 2022 Flicks at the Fountain return July 7.
Summer is in full swing in Carlsbad, with some pretty nice weather. As a result there are plenty of outdoor activities. Here are a few.
The popular Flicks at the Fountain start in less than 2 weeks on Thursday July 7th. However, this year there are 5 movies, instead of 4. Furthermore, the movies take place on consecutive Thursdays instead of Fridays.
The Flicks at the Fountain run from July 7th to August 4th, hosted by the Carlsbad Village Association. The movie titles were decided by popular vote. Here’s the movie schedule:
Encanto – July 7
Goonies – July 14
Sing 2 – July 21
Top Gun – July 28
The Greatest Snowman – August 4
You’ll find the Flicks on the big screen in the parking lot by the Fountain, at the corner of State Street and Grand Avenue. Seating begins at 6 and movies start around dusk. Summer evenings near the beach can be chilly, so bring blankets, and comfortable low-back chairs.
Dine al fresco with food from home while you wait for the movies to start. Or grab take-out at one of the nearby restaurants. Additionally, you can also order pizza, to be delivered to the parking lot!
OTHER SUMMER EVENTS IN CARLSBAD
The TGIF Concerts in the Parks, a 9-week series, started last night at Stagecoach Park. The series continues on Friday nights through August 19th. You can read more about these free concerts, plus see the band schedule, if you click the link above.
This Sunday, June 26, the very special Art in the Village Fair returns to Carlsbad Village. Check this link to the Carlsbad Village Association site for more details about this art lovers fair. Furthermore, you can view the artists who will be participating and see examples of their work.
