Summer’s here, and that means several popular events in Carlsbad are happening soon. One long-time favorite is the annual outdoor movie series, Flicks at the Fountain. This popular series is hosted by the Carlsbad Village Association.
Flicks at the Fountain take place on 5 consecutive Thursday nights. The series begins July 10th and ends August 7th.
Movies (rated PG and PG-13) were decided by popular vote from residents. As a result, here’s the 2025 schedule.
July 10 – Moana 2 (PG)
July 17 – Little Giants (PG)
July 24 – Enchanted (PG)
July 31 – Ratatouille (PG)
August 7 – Captain America: Brave New World (PG-13)
Flicks at the Fountain are held on a big screen in the parking lot by the Fountain in the heart of the Village. The parking lot is at the corner of State Street and Grand Avenue. Seating starts at 6 pm and movies begin at dusk, about 8 pm, and end around 10 pm.
Be sure to bring blankets for those chilly Summer evenings by the beach, along with comfortable low-back chairs.
In addition, you should also to bring some food/snacks and drinks, too. On the other hands, you can make life easier and purchase take-out food at one of the nearby restaurants in the Village. Furthermore, you can even have pizza delivered to the parking lot!
So get it on your summer schedule now so you don’t miss the fun. There’s a great line-up of movies for all to enjoy, and they are FREE!
