THE FLOWER FIELDS will soon be open – March 1st this year – with acres and acres of colorful flowers on the hills overlooking the ocean near the Carlsbad Premium Outlet Mall off Palomar Airport Road. It’s truly an amazing sight to behold, close up or from a distance.
The Carlsbad Flower Fields have been attracting visitors for years to the mass of color lasting for only a few weeks from the beginning of March through early May. Besides the hills of ranunculas, there are small gardens of roses and other flower displays to enjoy, with a host of special events during the flowering season.
