DAY 20 – Shop at Queen Eileen’s Gift Shop in Encinitas

QUEEN EILEEN’S may be one of the most unusual, and “funnest” (my word) place to shop that I’ve seen in the area.

Queenie, as owner Eileen Burke, has created a store filled to the brim with all sorts of fun, creative, useful gifts for all ages. It’s hard to describe in a few words all that QUEEN EILEEN’S has to offer so a visit is in order.

The store won’t break your budget and there is an emphasis on humor and the unique, but a good dose of practical and just fun-to-have items. Holiday and birthday shopping is a breeze here. Need a gag gift? Got ’em.

Queenie travels to Bali regularly and brings back all sorts of jewelry at very reasonable prices. You will find a wide range of clothing (OK most of it is for women) and they do absolutely wonderful gift baskets. It’s hard to believe all that is crammed into this small store in the heart of downtown Encinitas, and the inventory changes.

QUEEN EILEEN’S also host different events during the year – their Martini Fridays during the holiday season are becoming legendary.

Check out the video interview I did with Queenie some time ago, and stop in some time to explore and pick up a gift for someone special, or yourself!
