2019 is the 16th year for the annual Classic Car Cruise Nights in downtown Encinitas, sponsored by the Downtown Encinitas Mainstreet Assocation (DEMA).
And the 3rd of the 5 events (May through September on the 3rd Thursday) is THIS THURSDAY July 17th from 5:30 to 7:30.
If you’ve been before (I’ve attended several times) you know how much fun these Classic Car Cruise Nights are – a summer evening near the beach in downtown Encinitas, with dozens of classic cars (vintage, foreign, sports, Woodies) to gawk at, several live bands playing class beach music at different venues (e.g., Lumberyard Courtyard), great people watching, terrific dining at one of the dozens of restaurants if you’re interested, and perhaps a bit of shopping, too.
If you haven’t been, well, I just shared what you’ve been missing, so you might want to check it out this Thursday.
It’s always pretty crowded, and keeping in mind it’s summer and there are lots of visitors, too, I’d plan on arriving early to try to find parking. Plus all the classic cars are parking too, so space becomes a premium, but it’s worth it.
