Carlsbad made WalletHub’s 2019 list of the best beach towns to live in.
I know I love living here, for a number of reasons, and no doubt many others do as well. It was kinda fun to see that we made the list and came out #4. Here’s a link to the WalletHub article with the complete list, where Carlsbad ranked on multiple parameters (affordability, weather, economy) and a discussion of how the study was done.
Obviously a lot of this is subjective. And does it really matter whether you are #1 or #50 if you like living where you live? I don’t think so, and I bet most people choose a place to live for the lifestyle it affords them and how it feels, among other factors and not how high it ranks on a particular list.
No doubt there are plenty of different reasons why people like living in Carlsbad – the size of the community, the beaches, schools, great weather (even with all this June Gloom we are having), recreational opportunities, our community parks, dining options, lots of things to do and see year-round, proximity to San Diego, and the list goes on.
I’m curious – why do YOU like living here?
