Carlsbad Village Street Faire is 11/7/21

2023 Carlsbad Oktoberfest

The Carlsbad Village Street Faire, one of the most popular arts and crafts fairs, returns to Carlsbad Village next month.

WHEN & WHERE DOES THE FAIRE TAKE PLACE?

That’s right! The Carlsbad Village Street Faire will take place on Sunday November 7th from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. So there’s plenty of time to see what over 750 vendors have to offer. This is the 39th year for the fair.

The Carlsbad Village Street Faire has a reputation as the largest outdoor 1-day fair in the US. It may rival its competitor, the spring Carlsbad Village Faire (the next one is planned for May 2022). The spring fair was held July 25, delayed from May due to COVID.

The Carlsbad Village Street Faire takes place along Grand Avenue, from Carlsbad Boulevard to Jefferson. Because of size it spills over to some side streets including State Street north of Carlsbad Village Drive.

You’ll see signs in the Village along many streets, warning everyone about this coming special event. Much of the parking on the streets in the heart of town will not be available due to vendors.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AT THE FAIRE?

The Carlsbad Village Faire is impressive because of its sheer size. While it sounds cliché-ish, one might say there is something for everyone, with 750+ vendors.

You can expect thousands of people exploring a wide range of arts and crafts. The partial list includes clothing, home goods and accessories, collectibles, plants and garden items, antiques, and much more.

You can explore all the Carlsbad Village restaurants and retailers on the side streets, if you actually tire of all the fair offers. The popular Village Faire Shopping Center just west of the railroad tracks offers lots of retailers.

Parking will be limited because of the crowds, with many spaces taken up by Carlsbad Village Faire vendors. As a result you should plan your time accordingly. The good news is parking is still free in Carlsbad.

Another option is the free shuttle service offered during the day at 15-minute intervals. One pick-up stop is at the parking lot at the northwest corner of Sears atThe Shoppes at Carlsbad. The mall is at Jefferson/Marron Road and El Camino Real. The second stop is the Poinsettia Coaster Station on Avenida Encinas between Palomar Airport Road and Poinsettia.

The Rotary Club of Carlsbad is hosting a beer and wine garden with live music. The Kiwanis Club of Carlsbad will be serving its annual (25 years) pancake breakfast at the Train Depot. The breakfast is served from 7:00 am until Noon.

You might also consider visiting the nearby Carlsbad beaches before or after the fair.

Don’t miss this great opportunity and get a jump on your holiday shopping.
