Carlsbad Village Street Faire November 2023

2023 Carlsbad Oktoberfest

Another favorite arts and crafts fair, the Carlsbad Village Street Faire, returns to Carlsbad Village on Sunday November 5th. You can read about all the art fairs in Carlsbad here – Reasons to Love Living in Carlsbad – The Arts #5

The Carlsbad Village Street Faire is reportedly the largest outdoor 1-day fair in the US. There is also a similar Carlsbad Village Street Faire in May of each year.

The Carlsbad Village Faire runs from 8 am until 4 pm. That should allow plenty of time to enjoy hundreds of vendors.

The Carlsbad Village Faire takes place in the heart of town, along Grand Avenue from Carlsbad Boulevard to Jefferson. The Faire spills over onto side streets, including State Street.

Be aware there will be some road closures in the Village and parking is limited. They expect roughly 100,000 attendees so expect it to be crowded. (Photo is from another art fair in the Village).

Art in the Village fair is June 26, 2022

HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE CARLSBAD VILLAGE STREET FAIRE

So what will you see? Plan on 800+ vendors with unique clothing, arts and crafts, gift items, home furnishings and accessories. There will be collectibles, plants and garden items, antiques, products from around the world, and more.

You’ll find a traditional pancake breakfast, international food court, a beer garden, live music, and children’s activity area.

Despite the crowds it’s a fun time to explore the Village. And the Carlsbad beaches are just a couple of blocks away for a stroll after shopping. That is if you’re not too tired.

Parking is limited due to the crowds and the vendors, so arrive early. The good news is parking is still free in Carlsbad.

Another option is to take the free shuttles offered throughout the day at approximately 15-minute intervals. The shuttles are located at the northwest corner of Sears atThe Shoppes at Carlsbad (at the 78 and El Camino Real). The second location is the Poinsettia Coaster Station on Avenida Encinas between Palomar Airport Road and Poinsettia.

Another option is the Coaster commuter train – be sure to check the schedule. The train station is a short distance from the Village Faire area in the heart of the Village.
